David L. Savage is a writer, podcaster, and speaker...
…committed to guiding men toward authentic leadership, personal growth, and meaningful living. Born into an Air Force family and raised in West Texas, David’s formative years were deeply influenced by his extensive scouting experiences. Achieving the rank of Eagle Scout along with bronze, silver, and gold palms, David later founded and led a high-adventure Explorer Post before pursuing an engineering degree at Texas A&M University. His passion for adventure and mentorship continued after graduation when he served as a backpacking guide at Philmont Scout Ranch in Cimarron, New Mexico.
Throughout his professional career, David excelled at building strategic partnerships, driving revenue growth, and leading high-performing teams. His global travels and keen interest in history and geopolitics have further shaped his unique perspective.
David’s sense of humor and optimism are hallmarks of his personal brand. From winning the Star Search contest in Chicago to performing at Houston’s renowned Comedy Workshop, and becoming the U.S. Regional Winner of Toastmasters International’s Tall Tales Contest, David blends wisdom with wit, connecting effortlessly with his audience.
Dedicated to positively impacting men’s lives, David actively participates in men’s ministries, including Walk to Emmaus, BetterMan, Toolbox Ministries, NCMM – National Coalition of Men’s Ministries, and meaningful retreats such as “Christ in the Tetons” – a Father/Son retreat. He deeply values family, having successfully blended his own with Kimberly, his wife of twenty-three years, raising four now-grown children.
David continues to share inspirational and humorous stories—often from his adventures with his trusted friends, “The Sixpack”—in his memoir, The Savage Path.
