News David Savage December 29, 2025
It’s the end of 2025, the first quarter of this 21st century. At the end of every year there are shows and tweets and social media memories which encapsulate the year we’ve just experienced. It’s a time for taking inventory, year end tax preparation, and fiscal book closing. But here at The Savage Path Ministries we are looking for better metrics. Each of us hungers for something at this time of year and, for many, the greatest hunger is for healing a wound of some kind. We try to think in terms of spiritual warfare and relate stories about how others have, at last, acknowledged that we are defenseless as human beings and flesh in the spiritual realm. We have sought a champion to help us win these battles and He has a perfect record!
This month I have two guests who have dedicated themselves to helping others heal. The first is Chaplain Billy Graff with Camp Hope. Here is their mission statement:
Rooted in unwavering faith, our mission is to engage in the relentless pursuit of empowering the veteran community by creating a transformative impact that changes the trajectory of their lives.
In 2025 alone Camp Hope has facilitated over 350 group sessions with 4,321 attendees and provided over 3,000 in-person individual support meetings. Over the past ten years, more than 1,800 combat veterans have found a renewed purpose, earned college degrees, found employment, became financially independent, reunified with their families, and reintegrated into society. Check out Billy’s show titled “Wrestling with Family Estrangement” at the link below to learn more.
My second guest this month is Greg Mayo, the award-winning author of “Almost Daddy: The Forgotten Story” and its companion 12-Step recovery guide for healing after abortion. His work centers on helping men find hope, healing, and a restored relationship with God. Here is a excerpt from his Amazon review:
The book takes us on a journey through the complexities of emotions and how unresolved issues can shape our lives. The prospect of dealing with the pain that comes from major negative experiences tends to chase us into the arms of escapism. We try to numb the pain or distract ourselves, but it’s buried deep somewhere, choking us ever so gently, till we begin to gasp for breath.
If you want to learn more about “Wrestling with Lost Fatherhood” healing, check out Greg’s episode at the link below, a very tender topic well-handled.
And the final gift we leave you with in this season of giving is an extremely encouraging Two Minute Toolbox video from Eric Lewis. I love the Ezekiel 37:4 scripture reference:
……Dry bones, hear the word of the Lord! If God can turn a valley full of dry bones into healed, living and breathing tissue again he can help you with any level of healing you may be hungry for in 2026!

Last chance for 2025 tax deductions but we accept donations year round if you feel so led to continue to offer excellent content to encourage and coach up young men. Any amount is greatly appreciated as having others believe in this ministry is vital to our mission and motivation.
In Christ,

We all so long for the Norman Rockwell holiday gathering at Christmas…….
Have you ever found yourself in a situation where you genuinely wrestled with being thankful?
Perhaps after being laid off at work due to AI?
Maybe the tyranny of inflation and falling behind on debt and expenses?
Or something worse like a cancer diagnosis?
